The following banner alerts will appear in Sophos Central if you have devices running Windows XP/2003.:
- Support for Windows XP has stopped. From May 1st 2017, updates will stop and devices will no longer be protected. More details.

Sophos always encourages customers to use the latest operating systems and service packs, however, we also recognize that some customers are unable to upgrade for various reasons and because of this Sophos is offering to extend the availability of support for both XP and 2003 from their current retirement dates until no later than the end of March 2019.
In order to continue receiving updates and support, Sophos Central customers will need to purchase the extended support option.
After this Sophos will continue to provide security updates and periodic engine refreshes in order to maintain protection but reserves the right to review the status of support should an issue be found within XP or 2003 that means that we can’t provide suitable protection
Both XP and 2003 will continue to update until the 1st May, at which point they will stop. These operating systems are not supported unless extended support has been purchased.
